Meet Kathleen
Licensed Clinical Social Worker

In our world, it seems that everyone, from young children, to those nearing the end of life, are facing mental health challenges. The stressors at home, school, work, and day to day life can be overwhelming. When these issues go unaddressed we find ourselves struggling, not only with our mental health, but also our physical health. My work helps people deepen their mind/body connection, and learn to utilize strategies to manage stress as it arises. I have been in the field for over 20 years, supporting adolescents and adults as they navigate the effects of trauma, depression, anxiety, grief and loss, parenting difficulties, and changing relationships. I have extensive training in yoga, mindfulness, somatic psychotherapy, CBT, DBT. I have studied with and my work is influenced by world renowned teachers such as Dr. Bessel Van Der Kolk, Dr. Thema Bryant-Davis, Dr. Tara Brach and Dr. Kristin Neff.

As a therapist, I approach my work with cultural humility and am always open to learning and growing so that I can provide the best service to my clients. I am committed to creating a safe space for all. I will uphold my own values and ethics and support all those who are speaking out against injustice of any kind. Should we find after meeting that I am not a good fit for you, I can assist with referrals.

I’m excited to be able to use telehealth, a safe and effective platform for mental health treatment, to work with people who don’t live in the same area or those with other accessibility needs. As an LCSW (24968) in California and an LICSW (119244) in Massachusetts, my practice is focused on those two states. If you live elsewhere and are in need of services I am happy to connect you with resources in your state.
